Business Direct students are pre-selected for Cox admission based on their application to èßäÊÓƵapp and academic performance prior to entering èßäÊÓƵapp. Admission is selective, but holistic in nature with an emphasis on a student’s academic performance. Fall 2025 students had average SAT score of 1434, average ACT score of 33, and competitive grades in their curriculum at their high school. èßäÊÓƵapp are notified of their selection as Business Direct students shortly after receiving acceptance to èßäÊÓƵapp in their senior year of high school.

As Business Direct students, they participate in the normal èßäÊÓƵapp Cox curriculum and will have access to all the resources the Cox School of Business has to offer. Approximately 575 students enter èßäÊÓƵapp as Business Direct students each year. These students come from across the U.S. and from other countries and represent strong business applicants in the incoming class.  Most Business Direct students pursue double majors and minors in other academic fields and are involved in various organizations across èßäÊÓƵapp. Every Cox student benefits from personalized academic guidance through BBA Advising and professional development support from the Cox Career Management Center.

If students are not admitted to Cox, they are still eligible for acceptance to the University if they indicate another academic interest on their application. Contact the BBA Admission Office for more information on the Business Direct Program.
